Developing with Transparency

I've been using the "Reports" module in my DotNetNuke applications to show some useful statistics about project progress. I'll explain how in the article, but the real reason I'm posting about it is to illustrate how useful it can be to put your project laundry pile (dirty OR clean and folded) out for your client to see... this kind of transparency has been really helpful on this project in terms of motivating me and keeping my client informed.

In a comment to a previous post I walked through the easy process of extending the size of the initial 8GB virtual hard disk that the Parallels' Windows XP installation wizard sets up. I found out later that although Parallels makes this really easy... Windows XP has no idea anything happened.
